Когда не получается выезжать на полноценную рыбалку, я обычно отправляюсь проведать «домашних» ротанов. Положительный результат на такой вылазке практически обеспечен, да и собачку заодно выгуляю как следует. Впрочем, не все так просто — я имею в виду ловлю ротана на мормышку.
В прошлый раз навещал головешек этим летом — ответного интереса рыбехи не проявили, причем совершенно. Долго, конечно, не упирался, но сделал вывод, что по теплой воде в прибрежной зоне эта рыба отсутствует или совершенно не активна. Ловить дальше от берега не получается — там сплошной ковер травы.
А вот ближе к октябрю месяцу наступает, как мне кажется, самое время ловли ротанов-головешек — ровно год назад, впервые увлекшись городским мормышингом, ловил этих рыб в приличном количестве, даже фильм для «Практики ловли» сняли.
Но, как говорится, год на год не приходится. Этой осенью воды на маленьком пруду с ротанами оказалось так же мало, как на любимых мной малых и средних реках. Казалось бы, ротану должно быть без разницы, каков этот уровень, но нет — визуально рыбы у берега наблюдалось очень мало. А те, которые подходили к приманке, лишь «бодали» ее. А ведь на крючке мормышки был проверенный «лакиджоновский» съедобный мотыль — безотказная насадка.
Хотел было уже бросить это дело — стоит ли, в самом деле, уговаривать ротанов на поклевку! Но потом, все же, полез в сумку с приманками. И первую головешку выловил, как только нацепил на крючок мормышки кусочек розовой «съедобки» Lucky John Tioga.
Собственно, по рекомендации опытных стритфишеров, для ротанов я ее когда-то и брал. Немногочисленные и откровенно вялые осенние головешки из нескольких предложенных вариантов выбрали ребристый хвостик маленькой «Тиоги» в цвете Super Pink.
Насаживал эту приманку на полуграммовую дробинку бронзового цвета. Опускал в традиционные окошки среди растительности, а также вблизи крупного донного мусора, который хорошо просматривался в более-менее прозрачной осенней воде.
Но всех рыб извлек именно из травы. А вот у больших камней, разных по размеру бревен, а также у одного затопленного кухонного стула, поклевок совсем не было.
В этом году комплект для ловли спиннингом на мормышку стал у меня другим. Вместо удилища Team Salmo Tioga Small Game стал использовать новинку этого года — Lucky John Anira Microjig 5. Катушку тоже поменял — на Team Salmo Vantage 2000 намотал более толстую плетенку и стал ее использовать в микроджиге.
Шнур же Lucky John Area Trout Game диаметром 0,07 мм перемотал на одну из старых своих катушек под названием Salmo Elite Future в 1000-м размере.
К плетенке привязываю поводок из флюорокарбона длиной около 30 см и диаметром порядка 0,15 мм. Если бы ловил окуня, то можно и потолще, а для небольших ротанов — в самый раз.
