На вертушку именно на реках я чаще всего и рыбачу — эта приманка универсальна как по видам рыбы, так и по условиям ловли. Такие выводы сделал во время летних рыбалок, осенью они тоже подтвердились.
Основной добычей вращающейся блесны в это время стал окунь. Причем окуня было реально много — летом, по теплой воде, этот хищник бывает менее активен. Лучше всего он ловился в затененных участках с замедленным течением. Стаи полосатых хищников придерживались закоряженных мест, если таковые имелись, нередко «кучкуясь» у самых берегов. Два с половиной десятка полосатых хищников позволили мне выиграть спиннинговый зачет на одном небольшом нахлыстово-спиннинговом фестивале.
Лучше всего окунь реагировал на проводку апстримом — по течению. Чтобы проводить блесну максимально близко ко дну, использовалась тонкая снасть и довольно тяжелые приманки. Впрочем, они были нужны и при обратной проводке — даунстримом, против течения, когда легкую вертушку на толстом шнуре «выдувало» бы на поверхность.
Основным спиннингом стала модель Team Salmo Tioga Small Game длиной 2,16 м и тестом 0,4-5 г. До этого я опробовал его в летней ловле на мелкие приманки: в городской рыбалке на мормышку и микроджиге на средней реке. Укомплектовал удилище катушкой Team Salmo Vantage 2000 с плетенкой Lucky John Area Trout Game диаметром 0,07 мм. Добавьте сюда флюорокарбоновый поводок диаметром 0,2 мм (Lucky John Fluorocarbon Hard) — и получился хороший окуневый ультралайтовый комплект.
Хотя почему именно окуневый?! Наряду с полосатым хищником попадалась и другая рыба. Летом на малых реках я предпочитаю охотиться за голавлем. К осени эта рыба скатилась в большие реки и на их притоках остались лишь стаи некрупных голавликов, тем не менее, они тоже часто попадались на вращающиеся блесны. Клевали экземпляры до полкилограмма весом.
Рыбалка в этом время была тем и интересна, что заранее не знаешь, какая рыба может атаковать приманку. В качестве неожиданного сюрприза попалась даже неплохая ручьевая форель, вываживать которую на тонкой снасти, да еще среди речных завалов — удовольствие отменное!
Не обошлось и без щуки. Когда начинала попадаться рыба покрупнее, я переходил уже на более мощную снасть, если так можно сказать о ловле легким спиннингом. Вторым осенним «вертушечным» комплектом стал мой основной голавлевый спиннинг Team Salmo Powder тестом 2-8 г с катушкой Team Salmo Confidence 2000. На шпулю намотал новую плетенку Lucky John Basara диаметром 0,09 мм.
На такую легкую, но, в тоже время надежную снасть, попадалась как щука, до килограмма весом, так и небольшие ельцы. Последние осенью уже могли атаковать и вполне крупные блесны, а не только миниатюрные, как происходило в конце весны и летом.
Вообще, с размером вертушек старался не мельчить. Во-первых, хотелось немного отсеивать мелочь среди тех же окуней, во-вторых, хищники сами лучше отзывались на блесны 1-2-го номеров, нежели на разные «нулевочки». Как я уже говорил, лучше всего показали себя утяжеленные приманки, например «вращалки» от белорусского мастера Дмитрия Варивончика. Особенно понравилась модель Varoch Ballistic, весом 5 г и с сердечником в виде пули.
Также по моей просьбе Дмитрий немного модернизировал мою любимую модель Lucky John Bonnie Blade, адаптировав ее для ловли на течении, в том числе и сильном, при помощи смены сердечника. Bonnie Blade № 1 после этого стала неплохо добывать как окуней, так и голавликов.
Иногда окуни вообще ловились в отвес — с первого раза рыба блесну схватить не успевала, а атаковала ее повторно, когда я проводил приманку накоротке у полосатика под носом.
На реке с чистой прозрачной водой лучше всего работал медный и латунный цвет лепестка, в немного мутноватых водах — серебряный.
В общем, сезон «береговых ходилок» по малым рекам закрыл качественно — и видовым разнообразием, и обкаткой снастей, и экспериментами с приманками.
